Entrepreneurship is the primary source of job creation and economic development in the North American economy and increasingly around the world. Community colleges play an important role based on their experience in offering applied programs with an emphasis on developing the skills necessary for their students to succeed in chosen careers or to continue their education.
This is a collaborative project among community/technical colleges in Canada, Mexico and the United States to prepare students with a background in entrepreneurial skills relative to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) area and to allow them to experience other cultures and customs. Three options are available for students: certificate in entrepreneurship, semester abroad, and study in green entrepreneurship.
