Life Saving Skills
These programs prepare a variety of individuals to respond to cardiac and first aid emergencies, and are approved by the America Heart Association. We currently offer two training options: BLS for Healthcare Providers, and Heartsaver First Aid.
BLS for Healthcare Providers
BLS for Healthcare Providers classes are held the first Wednesday of every month.
This course is designed for a wide variety of healthcare providers who seek instruction in lifesaving skills of respiratory and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. This class is ideal for licensed healthcare providers, non-licensed healthcare providers, nursing students, or other individuals in the healthcare field.
This class is $75.00, and students must be registered and paid at least 3 days prior to the class date. The required American Heart Association book is included in this price. IMPORTANT: If you are unable to attend class, you must submit a formal written drop request BEFORE the class day so we can transfer your enrollment to another section. If you do NOT submit this written drop request in advance, you will forfeit any monies paid and will have to pay for the class again should you decide to re-enroll.

- Adult, child, infant CPR
- Adult, child AED (Automated External Defibrillation)
- 2-person rescue scenarios
- Foreign body airway obstruction
- Recognition of several life-threatening emergencies
Heartsaver First Aid
This course is designed for those with a duty or desire to respond to cardiac or first aid emergencies until professional help arrives. Ideal for family and friends, employees in the workplace, or other lay responders.
This class is $75.00, and students must be registered and paid at least 3 days prior to the class date. The required American Heart Association book is included in this price.
