The St. Philip's College CultureFest and Rib Cook-Off is an official Fiesta® San Antonio event held on the St. Philip's College MLK campus. It is a high-energy and kid-friendly festival featuring a rib cook-off, LIVE music, a car show, food and non-food vendors, and several grill raffles, all in one location!

We are selling tickets for Food Vendors online for your convenience. Get your tickets early to beat the lines! Please bring a printout of your receipt (or show it on your smartphone) on the day of the event at the ticket booth to retrieve your tickets.

Please note that vendors are required to attend a mandatory vendor meeting prior to CultureFest in November (date options will be provided as we get closer to this date).

CultureFest Grills

CultureFest Grill Raffle

We are raffling BBQ pits at this year’s CultureFest and Rib Cook-Off event.  The drawing will be held at 3:10 p.m. on April 25, 2024, on the stage. The winners will be announced and contacted by phone.

The winners will have until 5:00 p.m. on April 25, 2024, to transport the item from the event location. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the St. Philip’s College General Scholarship Fund.

Price of tickets: 1 - $10 or 3 - $25

Redeem your tickets by scanning and emailing your receipt to plede@alamo.edu, or bringing your receipt to the Student Center at SWC (Building 1, D-143) or the Turbon Student Center at MLK Campus (Suite 100). RIB COOK-OFF

Can you or someone you know make the tastiest ribs? Show us your skills at CultureFest as we award the best ribs in town.

Competition Entry fees:

  • $20 to submit for pork ribs (2 slabs of ribs (10 bones))

Contestants must submit a slab of ribs for the judges. If you are submitting for pork rib competition, you must submit a slab of pork ribs. Contact Paul Lede, plede@alamo.edu to sign up.

CultureFest t-shirts are given to volunteers working at the event! We need student and faculty/staff volunteers for CultureFest. There are numerous opportunities to serve, including setting up the day before the event.
