Our Integrated Reading and Writing (INRW) Lab for 0420 Policies

Lab Rules

No food or drinks allowed in the Lab. Computer use is monitored, and inappropriate use or visitation to inappropriate sites will disqualify a student from computer access.

Internet access is available to access e-mail, information necessary to complete an assignment, or visit the Integrated Reading and Writing (INRW) Lab for 0420 Web site account.

Open Lab

Open lab is a time when we have no regularly scheduled classes, so students may come into lab to complete online modules, make-up prior modules, get essay help, and get assistance on any other writing issue.

Making Up Lab Hours

It is a student’s responsibility to make up the missed time within one week. Please contact your lab instructor to arrange a time to make up your absence. If a handout was given out the week of the absence, students must make up the absence in the lab in order to receive the handout.

Scanning Flash Drives

All student flash drives must be scanned for viruses, worms, or malware prior to opening media.

To scan your flash drive, take these steps:

  1. Insert flash drive into the computer tower.
  2. Click “Start.”
  3. Click “My Computer.”
  4. Right click on your drive--usually Drive (F:) Removable Disk.
  5. Click on “Scan for Viruses.” The scan will start automatically.
  6. When the word “Completed” appears, you may close the scan window and open any document on your flash drive.
