Enrichment Programs for Kids
Our enrichment classes for children offer each child a rich opportunity to participate in a full range learning experience that addresses academic needs, social development, and FUN! Enrichment classes are available throughout the year. CSTC staff members are eager to speak with you about the programs below!
The curriculum for these classes is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills objectives. These hands-on classes focus on increasing skills while reinforcing core knowledge as well as assisting children in preparing for the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test.
Fine Arts Classes
Throughout the year, classes are offered in multi-media art, drama, and dance. The schedule provides children with an opportunity to increase both their fine and gross motor skills as well as explore their individual interests. "Mommy and Me" classes are also available and encourage teamwork as well as explore the child's creativity.
K-8 Fall Academy
The K-8 Fall Academy is a 3-day program that blends academics with sports, fine arts, games, and culinary arts ensuring that each child will have an awesome experience leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday.
K-8 Spring Break Kids' Camp
The K-8 Spring Break Camp is a 3-day program that blends academics with sports, fine arts, and culinary arts instruction*.
* Culinary arts classes are available for kids ages 10-13.
K-8 Summer Academy
The K-8 Summer Academy is a 10-week program which combines academics, fine arts, sports, and field trips to stimulate each child's intellect, enhance social skills and provide an opportunity to have fun while learning. This program is extremely popular, and available slots fill up very quickly, with many parents eager to register their children as early as possible.
Basketball School of Excellence
St. Philip's College has partnered with Marie Ferdinand Harris, 3-time WNBA All Star, along with Marvin Harvey to offer a year-round program providing unmatched, superior basketball instruction.
