Supporting our Military at JBSA -Lackland Air Force Base (LAFB)
We provide full time staffing at the Lackland AFB Education Office to meet the unique needs of our Military Families and Department of Defense students. Our evening courses are open to all students (subject to background checks) however, military personnel, their families and DoD personnel have priority for all LAFB courses.

Our staff provides many services available at the main campus. Assistance includes but is not limited to:
• Admissions and enrollment services
• Placement and Texas Success Initiative (TSI) questions
• Residency classification issues
• ACES navigation assistance
• Basic financial aid assistance
• Tuition Assistance and MyCAA
• Academic advising, Military and MyCAA Education & Training Plans
• Graduation applications
Installation Course Schedules:
St. Philip's College provides accelerated schedules of evening courses, supporting core curriculum, general transfer and Community College of the Air Force requirements.

Pass Instructions, Directions & Map to Classrooms:
Only students registered for Lackland AFB courses will be sponsored onto Lackland AFB. Chaperones and drivers will not be sponsored.
All access passes will be processed at the Luke East Gate Visitor Center off Military Dr. and East Luke Blvd.
A Release of Personal Information Form is required from all civilian students no later than the Friday before semester start. Pass requests are submitted by our staff to Lackland Security Forces by 2:00pm on the first day of the semester. Background checks are performed at the Visitor Center when the student applies for access. Questions about this process may be directed to our LAFB staff.

DoD Contract Tuition Rate for TA/MyCAA users:
Students using Military Tuition Assistance (TA) or Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) funding will have a separate, simplified tuition rate. In-state students; $80 per semester hour. Out of state students; $250 per semester hour. Students in courses with special program tuition should contact our representatives for assistance with special course tuition rates as those must be done on a case by case basis. Please check your student account summary for special course tuition.
Students with pending TA or MyCAA funding requests may request omission from payment deadline drops by submitting a Payment Deferment Request for Pending TA or MyCAA Funding. Students should be aware of payment deadlines to avoid being dropped for non-payment. Visit www.alamo.edu/calendars for payment deadlines.
