Arbor Day tree dedication

St. Philip's College President Dr. Adena Williams Loston hosted an Arbor Day tree planting community service project by members of the Alpha Tau Omega and Phi Xi Omega chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in partnership with two Home Depot USA stores April 20 near the St. Philip’s Learning and Leadership Development Center building, the chapters announced in April. District 2 Councilwoman Ivy Taylor and Loston provided remarks for the opening of the event. The staff of Home Depot Store 503 at Fair Ave. and Store 8454 in Kyle, Texas each donated a tree, dirt and mulch in support of the company's national partnership with chapters across the country.
