CLASS OF 2018 INCLUDES RECORD NUMBER OF EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOLS: ST. PHILIP’S COLLEGE ANNOUNCES MAY 11 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY DATE

The St. Philip's College Spring 2018 commencement ceremony is May 11 at 7 p.m. in Freeman Coliseum at 3201 E. Houston St., with students in caps and gowns who have been on amazing journeys and a keynote address by Renée Flores, AT&T regional vice president, external and legislative affairs.

St. Philip’s College early college high school classes will walk the stage May 11, including the first graduating classes of students from St. Philip’s College Early College High School with San Antonio Independent School District in partnership with Alamo Colleges and Seguin Early College High School with St. Philip’s College in partnership with Alamo Colleges (Seguin Independent School District). In addition to these students, the fifth cohort of graduates from Memorial Early College High School with St. Philip’s College – Alamo Colleges (Comal Independent School District), will receive a bevy of St. Philip’s College degrees and certificates before they graduate from high school.

For details on the May 11 ceremony, visit the college graduation page at http://alamo.edu/spc/graduation/, email the college record and registration team at spc-gradadv@alamo.edu or contact Tracy Shelton, the college’s associate director of records and registration, at 210-486-2700, tshelton@alamo.edu.

CAPTION: An archival image of the AT&T Foundation's September 2016 visit to St. Philip's College to ceremonially provide Alamo Colleges District with the first corporate funding to support any of its early college high school operations is a reminder that the speaker for the first graduation ceremony featuring the San Antonio Independent School District students who benefitted from that funding is 2016 ceremonial participant Renée Flores, AT&T regional vice president, external and legislative affairs (third from right). The St. Philip's College Spring 2018 commencement ceremony with Flores as keynote speaker is May 11 at 7 p.m. in Freeman Coliseum at 3201 E. Houston St. (SPC image)
