TEEN AND UNPLANNED PREGNANCY AWARENESS FREE EVENT AT ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE JULY 3

SAN ANTONIO (July 1, 2013)–––St. Philip's College is hosting its first teen and unplanned pregnancy awareness event July 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the college's Campus Center Building at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive. This interactive event is open to the public with free admission and parking.

Computerized mannequins used by college nursing students for study of childbirth in the delivery room environment will graphically demonstrate a pregnant mother delivering her newborn. Fetal alcohol baby syndrome, drug affected baby syndrome and shaken baby syndrome will also be demonstrated using mannequin simulations, along with a belted and water-filled pregnancy simulator vest that allows users to feel shifting and movement.
