Texas Public Educational Grants (TPEG)
Three types of funds exist to fund students who are Texas residents, out of state residents, and foreign student. These grants are: TPEG Resident, TPEG Non-Resident, and TPEG Foreign. Money for these grants are made available through each college’s resources. The purpose of these grants is to assist students with financial need. Priority is given to students with little or no Federal Pell Grant eligibility. Awards are made on a first-come first-served basis. To be eligible students must meet the following requirements:
- Be Texas residents, non-residents, or foreign students
- Apply for financial aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Undocumented students must submit a completed HB1403 packet
- Show financial need
- Register for the Selective Service, unless exempt
- Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours at home school
How Do You Apply:
All students who apply for financial aid are automatically considered for these funds.
