The Educator Preparation Program (EPP) is designed to offer professionals in the workforce an alternative to teaching in public schools versus the traditional university certification programs. Individuals who currently hold a bachelor’s degree and are interested in a non-traditional route to obtain teacher certification may apply. Our program is approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) and meets the “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB) requirements. The entire program consists of 156 hours of content course work, 81 contact hours of Pedagogy and Professional Responsibility course work and a one-year internship or Clinical Teaching for 12 weeks.
