: This unrestricted fund is used strategically to meet student needs throughout the Alamo Colleges, and to allow the District to respond quickly to new opportunities.
: Endowed scholarship funds are designed to be permanent and perpetual, with scholarships awarded based on earnings while the principal remains intact. Generally, scholarship awards are distributed one year after the corpus is fully funded. A minimum of $20,000 is required to establish an endowed fund.
: These gifts offer donors flexibility while providing much-needed financial assistance to deserving students. Directing contributions to the General Scholarship Fund is strongly encouraged in order to serve the greatest number of students. Donors may elect to establish their own scholarship fund with a minimum donation of $2,500 (or more) to establish a named fund.
