Steps for Enrollment

First Time in College (FTiC) – This will be the first time that you will attend college. Students who completed college courses as dual credit, but have not attended college after completing high school are considered to be First Time In College students.

A Refresher Course will be required for students that are placed into development based on their TSI Assessment results.  Refresher courses are at no cost and provide a second opportunity to move into a higher developmental course or a college-level course.   The required refresher must be done prior to enrolling into the Group Advising and New Student Orientation.   Please take this into consideration in order to provide enough time to register for classes before registration deadlines.

Transfer -- You have previously completed any college coursework (not including dual credit).

Former student- you have previously completed coursework at any of the five Alamo Colleges, but have not been enrolled in the past year.

Academic advisors see students on a walk in basis only. To sign up to see an advisor today, click the link below. To ensure we are able to visit with each student we sign in, we may discontinue our sign in list for the day prior to our closing time.

**We are excited about this new service, but realize it will take some time for our new system to learn our estimated wait times. Please understand that during this process, actual wait times may be longer than estimated wait times. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our services. **

Advising Hours

Advising Services are offered year round.  Be proactive and plan your advising session to avoid the peak periods and extended wait times.

Advising sign in opens at 8:00am Monday- Thursday    The Virtual Sign-in will close when the Advising Services have met the maximum capacity to serve (advising sessions are full for the day).

Our online advisor is available for advising support at a distance during the hours of operation. See link to chat above.
