How do I see an academic advisor?

Beginning Spring 2015, all currently enrolled students have been assigned an Academic Advisor. Please check your ACES email for information regarding who your assigned advisor is and how to schedule an appointment. An appointment is required to complete the following: Graduation Applications, Academic Dismissal Petitions, Financial Aid appeals, course substitutions and/or petitions and Course Overload petitions. Limited services are still available on a walk-in basis, however, we encourage you to plan ahead to visit with an advisor prior to the peak registration period for a shorter wait time. To sign up to for a walk-in quick advising appointment please visit the Advising Services Check-In window located on the first floor of the Cypress Campus Center directly past the Student Financial Services office.   To ensure we are able to visit with each student we sign in, we may discontinue our sign in list for the day prior to our closing time. PLEASE NOTE: During registration periods, this may happen very early in the day.

Sign-in Information

Advising Services are offered year round, however some periods are busier than others.  Be proactive and plan your advising session to avoid the peak periods and extended wait times.

Students are seen by advisors by appointment and available for walk-in quick advising for limited services. Walk-in sessions are limited to 20 minutes to accommodate all students.

Advising sign in opens at 8:00am Monday- Thursday and 1:00 pm on Fridays.     The Sign-in line will close when the Advising Services have met the maximum capacity to serve (advising sessions are full for the day).

Our online advisor is available for advising support at a distance during the hours of operation. See link to chat above.
