Library services are available to assist students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Services are available on and off-campus at either the Martin Luther King Campus library or the branch library at the Southwest Campus library.
Assistive Technology for Special Needs - The Learning Resource Center provides assistive technology to ensure greater independence for patrons with disabilities. Assistive Technology resources include:
A screen reader software that provides access to software applications and the Internet. Information from the screen is read aloud, providing technology to access a wide variety of information. Headphones are available at the LRC's circulation desk.
ZoomText seamlessly integrates magnification and screen reading, providing access to all software programs.
TV magnifier that provides easy reading of printed materials.

Enable students to be independent learners by being able to hear, see, track and understand readings, writing, lesson materials, and test materials.
- Scanning and Reading Appliance(SARA)
A stand-alone device designed to help the blind and those with low vision read printed materials.

Instruction Services - Classroom Instruction conducted by library faculty. Sessions can be tailored for a specific assignment or research strategy. Faculty may request an instruction by filling out and submitting the Library Instruction Request Form.
Computers with Microsoft Office and Internet - There are 48 desktop computers available for public use. Each PC has internet access and Microsoft Office Suite.
Copy Machines - Four black and white copiers are available in the library for public use. Letter and legal one-sided copies are .10 per page. Copy machines take dollar bills and coins only.
GoPrint - Printing is available using the GoPrint System. The cost is .10 per page for b/w and .50 per page for color. Users must create a GoPrint payment account. Adding value to the account can be done by using a debit/credit card (minimum $2.00 deposit required) or using paper currency.
Individual and Group Study Areas - Individual study rooms and group study rooms are available on a first-come basis. Additional study tables are available throughout the library.
InterLibrary Loan - Library to library lending service that is used to obtain circulating materials and periodical articles not owned by any of the Alamo College libraries is available to current students, staff, faculty and administrators of St. Philip's College. Reference Services - A librarian is available at the Information/Librarian Desks all hours the library is open.
Technical Services - Acquisitions, cataloging, and processing services.
