About AlamoU

Bachelor of Science - Nursing (SAC)

San Antonio College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing consists of three semesters of nursing courses to be completed in one year.

The program is designed to be lockstep, meaning specific courses based on the prerequisites must be completed prior to advancing to the next semester.

The program intends to allow graduates from the San Antonio College Associate Degree in Nursing to obtain licensure, begin working, and then continue furthering their education while working in the community.

The program is available both online and as a hybrid, combining face-to-face and online instruction.

A fast program track is available with a completion time of eight months.

San Antonio College also offers additional program tracks to include a concurrent Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate of Applied Science to students enrolled in the associate degree program.

Bachelor of Applied Technology - Operations Management (PAC)

Palo Alto College’s Bachelor of Applied Technology in Operations Management is currently offered fully online and prepares students to be successful supervisors and leaders.

Graduates of the program will bring leadership expertise to the operations management industry, utilizing their business, finance, technology, and human resource development skills to coordinate and oversee the activities that deliver goods and services to customers.

The Texas Workforce Commission projects 531,346 openings in 2030 for the operations management industry in Texas, up from 426,765 openings in 2020.

The projected number of Texas graduates with a bachelor's degree in this area of study was 6,168 in 2021, far short of the industry's need.

In this program, St. Philip’s College students gain advanced hands-on experience and practical insights into the latest cybersecurity tools, techniques, and best practices within state-of-the-art facilities, including the Saint Artemisia Bowden Center of Excellence, which opened in the Fall of 2021, and Cybersecurity Innovations Center, currently under renovation.

The program is available both online and as a hybrid, combining face-to-face and online instruction. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that cyber security jobs will grow 31% from 2019 to 2029.

According to the Texas Workforce Commission, an entry-level salary for an individual entering the cybersecurity field is projected at $64,480 per year ($31.00/hour).

Bachelor of Applied Technology - Cloud Computing (NVC)

Northwest Vista College’s Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing – pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges – will prepare students for many mid- and entry-level roles in Cloud Computing Environments.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that overall employment in computer and information technology occupations will grow much faster than the average for all occupations from 2022 to 2032, with an average of 377,500 job openings each year.

Organizations such as PwC have noted the global cloud computing market size was valued at $545.8 billion in 2022, and it is projected to reach $1.2 trillion by the end of 2027, growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 17.9%.
