San Antonio has a deep history dating back to its establishment in 1718. Yet our modern-day city has developed a unique character like no other in Texas. Most of the population for this top ten city consider themselves of Hispanic origin and this allows for a level of diversity, inclusion and tolerance unique to most cities in the United States. Our City’s Mayor put it best:
“In an increasingly connected world, the international relationships that we forge contribute to the economic partnerships and cultural exchanges that place San Antonio on a global stage and ensure that we remain competitive. As we continue to grow and attract the attention of communities across the globe, it’s important that we establish San Antonio as a welcoming and inclusive place that is ready to do business with the world.”
- Mayor Ron Nirenberg

Transfer Advising Guides (TAGs)
The ultimate goal of Transfer Advising Guides (TAGs) is to give students a seamless transfer to university, resulting in zero loss of credit hours, zero loss of time, and zero loss of money.
TAGs inform students what classes to take while enrolled at the Alamo Colleges, so that their classes not only transfer but also count toward their intended four-year degree program at their desired university.
