What is the Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician program?

Prepare for the Certified EKG Technician (CET). Students will learn to operate as Certified Cardiographic Technicians. Cardiographic technicians are part of medical care teams that diagnose and/or treat patients with heart conditions and may perform electrocardiography (EKG) tests, create sonographic images, install catheters, help with surgery, assist physicians in diagnosis, and treatment. Externship Requirements

  • Students who wish to secure their placement in the upcoming Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician program, must complete the list of immunizations and other requirements below, prior to attending the EKG Clinical Lab and Externship. Failure to complete the requirements listed will prevent students from participating in externships and earning their certification credentials.
