About ScholarshipsScholarships help students pay for their education. Unlike student loans, you do not have to repay scholarships. St. Philip's College manages a portfolio of endowments and gift agreements from the community and organizations from across the country. St. Philip's College, as part of the Alamo Colleges, awards various types of scholarships to eligible students. Apply for Scholarships:Assistance League of San Antonio Scholarship
Assistance League of San Antonio and its auxiliary Bexar Hugs will present $1,600 scholarships to students at a college or university in Bexar County. The intent of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance too help students reach their educational goals. The award may be used for tuition, fees, and books and will be paid directly to the college or university each student attends. To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours or more), entering his/her junior or senior year at a four-year college or university in Bexar County, Texas. If awarded this scholarship as a junior, you may again apply for it in advance of your senior near as well. Students Majoring: Full-time Enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) Greater Texas Foundation Child Care Scholarship
The Greater Texas Foundation Day Care Scholarship Endowment was established to increase the retention, persistence, and completion rates among single parents. If you are enrolled in school full-time, a single parent with a child 12 years (or under), and are in your second semester, you may be eligible to apply for the scholarship. Complete the form and mail it to the Scholarship Office at the address below. General Scholarship Application
Alamo Colleges Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Alamo Colleges. Our focus is scholarships — life-changing gifts that help students come in and stay in and achieve their dreams of a college education. Scholarship eligibility is based on various factors such as academic merit, program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, campus/club organization, and/or financial need. Foundation scholarships are awarded and administered without regard to race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. All students are invited to apply for available scholarships. The Strada HBCU Initiative focuses on investment in the next generation of leaders. This nationwide program will provide leadership development, academic support, and critical social engagement resulting in positive postsecondary learning opportunities that lead to meaningful career pathways for Strada Scholars.
