The Alamo Colleges District (ACD) is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, and staff. We invest in several safety tools and resources, and the Alamo Colleges Police Department officers are available in case of an emergency.
Alamo Colleges Police Department (ACPD)
ACPD provides law enforcement and security services to all the Alamo Colleges. They are available to respond 24/7 and can assist with things such as vehicle lockouts, battery boosts, courtesy escorts, and criminal reports. We recommend you save the department's phone number on your phone in case of an emergency:
On-campus emergency: 210-485-0911
Non-emergency: 210-485-0099
ACPD also provides students, faculty, and staff with access to SafeZone, a free mobile app that connects users with ACPD in the event of an on-campus emergency.
Through SafeZone, users can securely send their location, request assistance, and communicate directly with ACPD. Students and employees can set up an account using their alamo.edu or student.alamo.edu email address.

Stay Informed of Emergencies and Other News
Students, faculty, and staff will be notified through the Rave Alert Communication System in the event of an emergency or severe weather.
Log into Rave using your ACD email address to update your profile. We highly encourage you to add your mobile number to receive text notifications.
Online Security
The security and privacy of student information is a high priority at ACD.
Students should beware of potential scams that send fake job offers to their ACD email address.
If you receive an email or call and are unsure if it is a legitimate contact from the Alamo Colleges, do not respond. Close the email or hang up.
If you think you may have been targeted by a scam, call the ACPD non-emergency line at 210-485-0099.
Other things to keep in mind:
- ACD may contact students via email, text, or phone call.
- Our staff will never request that students pay a fee to receive funds or a job.
- A full Social Security Number will never be requested from a student over the phone.
- “Over the phone” payments will never be requested. Students would be directed to an ACD website to make payments.
