Academic Support provides CRLA Level 1 certified tutoring on a drop-in basis in 4 labs for individuals or groups in all levels of Math, English, and other subjects. Tutors work with students to address the subject matter and devise study strategies.

 

Academic Coaching
Our academic coaches can help you improve your skills and performance.		 In-person Tutoring
Refers to when a tutor and a student meet face-to-face.		 Online Tutoring
A form of remote education where a tutor and a student interact through the internet.

Tutoring in college serves as a valuable resource to supplement classroom learning, foster academic growth, and promote student success.

    • Log in to your ACES Account
    • Click on the “Start Here” tab
    • Select the “Alamo NAVIGATE” icon
    • Click “Login”
    • Select the “Appointments” tab
    • Select “Schedule an Appointment”
    • Select the Reason for your appointment and hit Next
    • Select Location and hit Next
    • Select the Type of Appointment, Day, and Time that works for you and hit Next
    • Enter your request in the Notes box

What is Brainfuse?

Brainfuse tutors provide live, on-demand tutoring and assignment help in a variety of subjects when students need it most. Through intentional collaboration, Brainfuse tutors meet students where they are at to effectively help students of all skill levels.

How do I use Brainfuse?

To start using Brainfuse, you must log in to ACES or your course's Canvas page. Then, pick one of the following:

  • Choose Live Help if you have a quick question – sessions are 30 minutes.
  • Choose the Writing Lab if you want a paper reviewed in 24 hours.

You will start with 7 hours to use on Brainfuse, but you can request additional hours by contacting kbryson8@alamo.edu or (210) 486-5615.
