About the Program

Engineering is the application of math and science to solve practical problems. Learn how to create and manage the technology and systems of tomorrow.

What is Engineering?

What will I learn?

Our Northwest Vista College engineering courses provide both the theory and the hands-on applications that you will need for your junior level studies. Take ENGR 1201 Introduction to Engineering to experience the major fields of engineering and see which major will be the best fit for you.

What can I do with this course of study?

You can complete your freshman and sophomore engineering, physics, science, math, and core courses at Northwest Vista College and transfer these courses to a bachelor of engineering program at a university.

What is special about this program?

At Northwest Vista College, you will learn the theory, but also gain hands-on experience through course projects, labs, the NVC Engineering Club, and the NVC STEAM Makerspace. Take the courses that you need in a supportive atmosphere and take the first steps to have a great career with high earning potential.
