Bio:

I received my BS in Biology from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and my PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University. I did post-graduate work at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. During this period, I researched serotonin receptors and their roles in mental disorders, including psychosis and schizophrenia. I am currently a visiting lecturer at NVC and I teach Introduction to Biology for Majors and Anatomy and Physiology I. Outside of work, I spend my weekends chauffeuring my daughter to her various activities. I volunteer at my church and love crafting.
