Experience When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet by Charles George performed twice in a unique double-cast production! This 30-minute play, written with all-female characters, will be presented first by a female cast and then by a male cast, reflecting the tradition of Shakespearean times when male actors played all roles.
When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet is a clever and insightful one-act play that imagines a gathering of some of Shakespeare’s most iconic female characters. Set in a timeless space, these women—each representing different aspects of love and womanhood—come together to offer advice to Juliet, who is on the brink of her fateful romance with Romeo. Through their conversation, the play humorously explores themes of love, loyalty, and the roles women are often expected to play. It's a witty reflection on Shakespeare’s portrayal of women, highlighting their strengths, desires, and wisdom in a way that feels both timeless and refreshingly modern.
