Marketing, Advertising & Media

What is it?

NVC MarComm creates strategic marketing campaigns using brand guidelines and current college or district messaging. This includes paid advertising and promotion to specific audiences. We use a combination of traditional print media, social media, and geotargeted streaming audio and visual media.

Print and Digital collateral includes postcards, flyers, posters, digital signage, social media posts, and other items used to promote the college, events, or initiatives.

Printed in Magazine or Newspaper

How can I find and use it?

You can share social media posts and provide any available flyers and postcards with potential and current students.

On AlamoShare you can find pre-designed flyer, digital signage, or social media graphic templates for Canva and PowerPoint. You don’t need a Canva account to use the templates.

Reminder: Any items that will be used outside of the NVC campus, must include the official NVC logo following guidelines. Items that will only be used on the NVC campus are not required to, but can, use the official NVC logo.

Before printing, use the MarComm Request Form to have the logo use approved.

Pamphlets and Flyers

Can I request advertising or promotion for my courses or program?

NVC Marcomm works strategically with college leadership to promote programs and initiatives for the college through paid and organic advertising and promotion including print media, paid morning show appearances, social media, and streaming audio/video.

We don’t advertise or promote individual courses. We may promote new, notable courses, courses available at off-campus locations (such as WETC), or specific courses by request of NVC leadership.

To discuss an advertising or promotion request, please choose Other/Consultation on the MarComm Request Form.

Media Services: Pitches, News Releases, Press Events

NVC MarComm provides media services for the college. If you would like to provide a media pitch idea, please use the MarComm Request Form to provide information about the novelty, innovation, or uniqueness of your idea.

Remember, not all pitches are picked up by local media outlets. All media pitches are subject to the news cycle, current events, and news station demands.

News releases, press events, and paid morning show appearances are planned through strategic marketing planning. Please contact Melissa Monroe-Young for information.
