What is the criminal justice program?

Criminal justice professionals play a vital role in the American justice system, from law to administration to advocacy. A higher education is essential for today’s criminal justice professional. Palo Alto College students will be taught by experienced criminal justice practitioners and teachers sharing the fundamental principles of the local, state, and federal justice systems.

Many positions in the criminal justice system require a bachelor’s degree, including probation and parole of cers. Police departments typically encourage collegiate training by incentive pay and increased promotion opportunities. With transfer agreements to area four-year colleges and universities, Palo Alto College prepares students for their future.

This program is a THECB-approved Field of Study, which means all coursework completed on the degree plan will fully transfer to satisfy the first two years of a Criminal Justice degree at any four-year public college or university in Texas.
