Join us for the 12th Annual Fabulous GED Brunch & Bazaar featuring keynote speaker Rep. Diego Bernal (District 123).

Continuing in the holiday tradition of fellowship, fabulous food, and fantastic gifts, all proceeds from this year’s extravaganza will benefit:

  • Women and men pursuing a Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (GED) through the Adult Learning Academy at Palo Alto College.
  • Scholarship support for GED graduates who choose to continue their education at any one of the five colleges in the Alamo Colleges District through the GED Empowerment to College Endowment.


Palo Alto College’s Adult Learning Academy is one of the few sites in San Antonio that offers GED preparation and testing in both English and Spanish. Students are given access to all campus resources necessary to help them succeed, including free tutoring, library services, computer and Wi-Fi access, and academic and personal counseling services. 

Since 2007, a group of devoted community volunteers, led by Martha Tijerina, have come together to raise funds for pivotal scholarships to help high school equivalency students cover program costs, GED testing fees and vouchers and classroom supplies.
