Graduate Spotlight: Shadara Quinn

As Shadara Quinn prepares to walk across the stage this December, she reflects on how far she’s come. Her education represents more than academic achievement—it is a tribute to the strength of women, including herself, who push forward despite the odds.

When she began her studies, she knew she wanted to become a librarian and open her own library—a dream fueled by her deep love of books. This love was born from personal struggle; grappling with depression and self-doubt, she found healing and purpose in reading and writing. Literature became an escape and a path to self-discovery, inspiring her to pursue an English degree.

After graduation, Shadara plans to attend UTSA to earn a master’s in Library Science and a psychology degree. She hopes to inspire women everywhere through her commitment, showing that no dream is too big to achieve when met with resilience, focus, and heart.
