Student Life provides engaging activities that enhance the college experience at St. Philip’s College. Student Life activities build a sense of community and pride within the college, and create connections between the college and its students.

Student Services Activity Fee
- Student Services Fees are based on student
college credit hours. Students are charged $1 for per every
credit hour they are registered for each semester.
- The Student Services Advisory Fee committee is composed
of 5 voting student members, 4 voting faculty/staff members, and alternate
- The majority vote of yes/no must come from the student
Students at each of the Alamo Colleges are voting on whether or not they support an increase of this fee, which is currently $1 per credit hour. Vote for an increase to $2 per credit hour, a flat rate of $15,
or no change. Increasing the Student Services Activity fee will provide more monies to support co-curricular ac prizes for tournaments, fitness, wellness, on/off campus activities
E. L. Turbon Student Center
The newly renovated Turbon Student Center is beautiful! Enjoy space for lounging, pool tables, ping pong, video gaming area and much more. Students are encouraged to get involved in student organizations. There are numerous
orgs on campus: social, special interest, and those affiliated with educational departments. Learn more about student clubs and organizations on the 2nd floor of the center.
CultureFest & Rib Cook-off
The CultureFest & Rib Cook-Off has become a tradition on our campus. Every year, on the Thursday before the Battle of Flowers Parade, we welcome one and all to celebrate with us. Admission is free and open to the public. Culture Fest 2017 will be held on April 27. Read More >

Student Engagement Grants (SEG)
Grants are appropriated for the academic year. A grant recipient who demonstrates commitment to the project initiative and maintains academic eligibility may receive funding for each session.
The Department of Student Life has SEG opportunities in the following areas: Student Leadership, Spirit and Pride Crew, Student Government Association, Extramural Sports, QEP and the Collegiate 100. For more information on
these projects stop by the second floor of the Turbon Student Center.
