Southwest Campus

Your dream job may be only one or two years away!

In 1987, St. Philip's added the Southwest Campus, a hub for technical training programs and formerly part of Kelly Air Force Base, as an official campus. As a major facility of St. Philip's College, Southwest Campus specializes in technical education and industrial training.

A.A.S. Degrees

You can choose from a wide range of fields and complete most Associate of Applied Science degrees in two years.

Certificate of Completion

One-year programs offer a Certificate of Completion and/or Enhanced Skills Certification.

Transfer Preparation

Many degree plans prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution without loss of credit.

Workforce Training

Southwest Campus also provides customized training for employers in need of a highly-skilled workforce.

Alamo Academies

Began in 2001 with a mission to expose high school students to STEM careers driven by industry. Students who enroll in one of our programs are exposed to high demand career pathways through a hands-on curriculum. Students can make better decisions on their educational and career plans after high school graduation.

Alamo Area Aerospace Academy

Our program can provide you with knowledgeable employees who have been deeply exposed to the aerospace industry through internship experience and courses such as aviation science, basic electricity, federal aviation regulations, ground operations, aircraft turbine engine theory, weight and balance, and aircraft sheet metal.
