Campus Carry in Effect at the Alamo Colleges District August 1, 2017

As a result of SB 11, passed by the Texas Legislature in 2015, licensed concealed campus carry of handguns at the Alamo Colleges District is permitted effective August 1, 2017. The Alamo Colleges District has implemented rules as procedures to address the newly effective licensed concealed campus carry legislation. Training and additional communications for employees and students will be provided over the next few weeks. Learn more.

First Day Counts

First Day Counts Attendance Policy 

Start the semester right! Attend each first class meeting. Miss the first day without contacting your instructor beforehand, and you’ll be dropped. Don’t rely on being dropped for nonattendance as a way to withdraw. If you can’t attend or complete a course, immediately take steps to withdraw.

Fast Completion Incentive

New Program Saves Students Time and Money

The Alamo Colleges District Board of Trustees have approved a new Summer Momentum Program to encourage students to complete their degree in less time while saving money and using their financial aid more effectively. The plan gives students who earn 18-24 credit hours in consecutive fall and spring terms 3 to 6 FREE credit hours in the summer semester.
