ePortfolio Competition

The ePortfolio of the Month competition will highlight the scholarly and creative work of our San Antonio College students, using a portfolio. Students from all majors are eligible to showcase their research, talents, and abilities.

OVERVIEW

This competition is open to all San Antonio College students who are currently registered and are in good academic standing. All submitted materials for spring semester must reflect original work from the 2024-2025 academic year. Students can submit material created six months prior to the fall semester. Material submitted in previous years is ineligible. ePortfolio submission is good for one academic year. However, Students can submit a new ePortfolio for Fall/Spring semester every month. 

There are two categories a student can submit an ePortfolio for the competition.

Students may submit to each category, but will only be eligible for One (1) award per student.

Showcase your achievements/experiences in a portfolio that focuses on:

  • Scholarly- Academic project highlights, Work/Internship experience tailored to degree, Academic accomplishments
  • Meaningful- Hobbies/Interest/activities, Talents, Art portfolio, Creative experiences

Marketable Skills showcase your achievements/experiences to transfer academic programs and future employers

  • Application of marketable skills learned at San Antonio College
  • Portfolio must include recognition of one or more marketable skills.
  • Ex: Add a page labeled Marketable Skill and discuss how your ePortfolio or portfolio content demonstrates the use of skill.
AWARDS

Awards will be given to the highest rated ePortfolio submissions for each category.

  • 2 Winners each month voucher/ award a certificate

*The award will first apply to any outstanding obligations to Alamo Colleges. Student financial aid recipients will have funds disbursed in accordance with applicable federal regulations.

Entry into the competition requires consent to allow the Learning Assessment and San Antonio College the right to display your work on our website, Youtube page, social media sites, etc. for promotional purposes. For questions on intellectual property please visit Board Policy  C.1.8.1

NOTIFICATION OF AWARD

  • All submissions will receive a digital certificate of appreciation for their entry.
  • A judging committee will use the rubric (see Instruction) to evaluate each ePortoflio.
  • Awards will be given to the highest rated ePortfolio submissions for each category.

Those winners will be notified separately by TBD.
