Department of Public Policy and Service
The Department of Public Policy and Service (PP&S) mission is to prepare students for successfully transferring to a four-year program and to meet the expectations of employers in the public or private sector by providing an equitable student-centered education approach from faculty who focus on fostering critical thinking, promoting academic excellence and encouraging an ethos of civic engagement.
PP&S offers a wide range of academic and training programs to equip students to successfully transfer to a four-year university or enter the workforce. PP&S offers courses in Court Reporting, Criminal Justice, Government/Political Science, Human Services, and Public Administration. These academic and workforce programs prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue successful careers in law enforcement, government organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and social/judicial and mental health services. Our faculty members are highly respected professionals in their fields and have extensive experience in teaching and research.
