Cyber Service Scholarship (CSS)
Overview
In October 2018, San Antonio College received a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the amount of $568,831 for the “SAC Cyber Service Scholarship Program.”
This grant, funded by the NSF’s Community College Cyber Pilot Program, provides financial support to students pursuing a degree in the fields of information assurance and cyber security.
Scholarship recipients will receive a $25,000 annual stipend as well as a scholarship to pay tuition for two years. In addition, the students will receive $6,000 for professional development per year.
SAC is one of only three entities in the nation to be selected for the pilot program.

If a student fails to complete the period of scholarship or post-academic period of employment, that student must repay a prorated amount equivalent to the length of the period not served. For example, if a student receives funds for two years and serves for one-and-a-half years, he must repay 25% of the funds received. |
