What is the Computer Support Specialist program?

This program will teach you how to assist with all aspects of computer systems, including setup, installing software and solving problems.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn about computer operating systems, computer networks, software, hardware, and tech support skills. You’ll develop the ability to help computer users with issues such as log-in difficulties, operating system and software malfunctions, network technologies, and even hardware issues. In addition to learning a variety of computer-based support tactics, you’ll develop strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as proficiencies in communication, customer support and service.

What can I do with this course of study?

This program will prepare you for an entry-level position as a computer support specialist, maintaining computer networks and providing technical assistance to users in a variety of workplace settings. You can also pursue additional education for careers in related fields, such as quality assurance engineer or software designer.

What’s special about the program?

This program is available both in-person or fully online. In addition, you can earn certificates and an occupational skills award that will give you marketable skills to enter the workforce as you continue to pursue your degree.
