Texas Funeral Directors Association (TFDA) and National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) membership: 

All Mortuary Science students currently in the program can apply for membership with TFDA and NFDA. The TFDA membership is offered at no cost and the student will recieve a montly magazine subscription to the Texas Director.  For more information or an application to the TFDA and NFDA please stop by the Mortuary Science front desk in the Nail Technical Center in room 238.

Mortuary  Science Summer and Fall 2013  Advisement 

Ongoing Mortuary Science students advisement appointments will be available starting from March 18th-April 30th. Start making your appointment in NTC 238 today!

New Applicants for the Summer and Fall 2013 session, who have submitted their Mortuary Science application and completed all college and program requirements, will be contacted for an appointment for their interview and advisement.

Continuing Education Seminar for Funeral Directors and Embalmers 

The Mortuary Science Department will be hosting the 2013 Continuing Education Seminar.

The Seminar will be hosted on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 and Thursday, May 23, 2013.

Each day the cost will be $30.00 or both days $40.00 if you register early. (Early Registration = postmarked by May 13, 2013)

You will also be able to pay at the door each day for $35.00 (Fees are non-refundable)

All proceeds will benefit the Mortuary Science Scholarship Fund.

News from the Texas Funeral Service Commission 

If you have a June expiration date for license renewal, try to renew prior to June 9th. That is our cut-off date for processing online renewal applications until at least June 24. We will have a data freeze on all deposits, renewals, and any other transaction that requires the data in the database to change somewhere around the 11th or 12th.
