Rosalind Ong Named Interim Dean of Performance Excellence

Rosalind Ong has been named Interim Dean of Performance Excellence in the Office of Integrated Planning and Performance Excellence (IPPE). Previously, she served as the Academic Program Director of Learning Outcomes Assessment and also held the position of Coordinator of Measurement and Evaluation for learning assessment in the IPPE office.

As interim dean, she will be responsible for the IPPE department including strategic planning, institutional research, and student learning outcomes assessment to support continuous process improvement and institutional assessment.

Ong received a master of education in educational leadership and policy study as well as a bachelor of business administration in business management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also received an associate degree in international studies from Northwest Vista College.

The mission of learning assessment is to measure what students are learning and provide opportunities for them to attain marketable skills not only in the classroom but also through student success, co-curricular, and extracurricular experiences. These opportunities will prepare students with tools they can apply to their academic careers and the workforce.
